Vedhupop - About

I'm Vedhika, an illustrator and artist from India. I grew up in Bangalore and now live in Mumbai, where I spend my days drawing, cooking, watching films or sitting in silence—doing nothing.
My work is rooted in observation—people on the street, scenes from my kitchen, videos I watch on YouTube, or the feeling of a late afternoon. I love capturing the mood and essence of people. My illustrations often blur time, place, and perspective—reflecting how I tend to remember a day: layered, soft around the edges, and full of tiny details.
I studied painting and hold a BFA in Painting. I began with brush pen on paper and now draw primarily on Procreate. I’ve also worked as a graphic designer, which led me to design and publish Sweet Potato Mag—a quiet, mindful magazine I make from start to finish.
